Jin, I think we sort of agreed to a Disney theme for this coming year.
Bear in mind that Disney includes a lot of things now including Star Wars, as well as the more cartoon Disney stuff, so could be quite a good theme

For those who may have missed my earlier post
https://www.wyndhamhotels.com/de-de/super-8/oberhausen-germany/super-8-oberhausen/overview
😀👍😀
It's next to the centro Oberhausen, but at the other end from the Tryp
Free cancellation right up to 27 April 2020👍
Car parking
Breakfast
New hotel- great reviews
I have booked on Expedia £140 2 night's, for a twin Queen room for 2 including breakfast 😀
I would suggest get it booked with free cancellation, if we end up at the Tryp hotel no worries.
First we had the V8 Stuttgart, now the Super 8 Oberhausen😂😂👍
Phil, I totally agree we all need to be in the same place, that's what the venture is about 👍😀🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Hi all,
Booked the Super 8 with free cancellation. Just like everyone else has said part of the trip for me is to meet up with forum members.
Oh....fancy dress, love it. Very Happy
First time I have attended this event so please give a nudge if you book anything else.

Yes "Askgeez" I seem to remember suggested Disney as the theme which I think should be fun. The feedback from the Germans on their webpages seems to be they liked the pimps but really liked the superheros the year before. As Disney is such a broad theme it could work well although I am struggling to find Snow White in 4xl Floor but this may be an option Floor Floor Floor Floor

In the thriving post-Brexit utopia that we'll no doubt be enjoying, traditional British double breasted suits with bowler hat, umbrella and monocle would surely be welcomed by all at the show....

If only we knew a cigar smoker of Churchillian stature....... Question

Good find Paul Thumb Thumb

I liked the Tryp, convenient and good parking, but this looks just as good and breakfast included at half the price I paid last year! thumbsup

'Longers' has said he'll let me know as soon as he hears back from The Tryp.

Obviously we're still 6 months away from the date but it's likely that Fast-Track will need some idea of numbers that can commit before they book anything.

I'm waiting until I hear what price he can get for:

Thursday night B&B + parking

and

Thursday & Friday night B&B + parking

Stuttgart as part of the itinery would be good if there is chance of a Porsche factory tour, only thing we missed out on this year!

Needs booking way in advance if it’s a larger group. Longers tried it last year but I think it took a while for everyone to respond on who wanted to go. Just pester the museum booking people to find out when next years dates get released. I think it was around new year when I booked. tours around that bank holiday weekend seamed to be in demand.

As I've probably posted quite a few times on Dinslaken threads over the last 7 years it seems quite appropriate that my 16,000th is on this one. Very Happy

From what I'm reading it looks like we've got 7 definites and 3 maybes at this time. Not bad for T minus 6 months.

If anyone else, regulars or virgins, are considering making the trip next year it would be interesting to hear from you - however tentatively you are thinking about it. Thumb

ps. There's likely to be several different itineraries and fancy dress is definitely not compulsory. Wink

I am off with Longers and mob to the Classic GP at Monaco on the 6th so it's doubtful I will attend ....... if I had been without a co-pilot I might have combined the both ....... but if the gods be kind I might attend next year at the new venue.
