Trim Removal - between the dashboard and door frame?

I am needing to remove the plastic fill-in trim that fills the gap between the right hand side of the dashboard and the drivers door frame (as highlighted in the pic).

It looks like that I need to remove the rubber door seal first, is this just pushed on or is is glued to the metal door frame?

Not 100% but seem to remember that if you ease the door shut rubber off from where it sits, that plastic panel comes out from it's front edge (ie where the rubber was previously).

It shouldn't be glued - and is just an interference (push) fit.

HTH?
