Cayenne alignment bolts seized

Thought I`d get Kwik-Fit to do an alignment...they have a hunter machine so should be as good as any other place.

Anyway, my rear alignment bolts are seized. Assume this is getting more common as these cars get older.

Have been quoted £1200 all in to replace the toe control arms and lower wishbones.

Might be able to get a better price on parts if I buy these myself.

Has anyone had that job done?

It is on my "to do" list for my Mk1 Panamera. Price sounds about right as the parts are about £400 per side and it's a 4-5 hour job. Normally just the bushes need replacing but that can only been done on the fronts - the rears are whole units. Shame really, but there you go!

My local OPC tried to say I needed a whole new sub-frame (at £3.5k) as one of the bolts was seized...that's after the AA recovered the car which then arrived at the OPC with the other wishbone sheared. Of course, the AA "didn't know how it could have happened" and I should "seek legal advice" if I want to discuss it further.

Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread - move along, nothing to see here!

Useful to hear my quote is in the right ball park.
