Thought I'd fit these today. Complete fail. Anyone got any diy tips?

I tried boiling water, lubricant, but could not get them in place.

Rubber ones back in, 320 miles to do tomorrow.

Are you talking about the 'two 'D' type bushes or the Wishbone ends?
Apologies if my initial reply wasn't applicable.
 
Np, I was. I think I might leave them until the wishbones come off for new bushes as well now.
