1999 Porsche 996 Carrera 2

PostPosted: Tue Aug 20, 2019 6:36 pm    Post subject: Mercedes C350 08-14 W204 Reply with quote

The day is nearing when I may have to get an estate car.

The C350 estate is pretty rare, but looks to have gone under the radar.

301 bhp, 0-60 mph 5.9 secs, 370 Nm. Almost 996 3.4 figures.

Facelift BlueEFFICIENCY claims 38mpg(!?) and cheap tax.

A rave review from Evo at the time https://www.evo.co.uk/mercedes/c-class/6510/mercedes-benz-c350

All for 8-11k ish

Anyone had one / got any advice?

I have the E350 AMG Sport W212 saloon, cracking car, I had E280 and an E320 before, this is my 7th Merc on the bounce and they were all cracking cars.

My E350 has averaged 38.7 MPG over the last 165,000 miles Grin

The only real issue with this particular V6 is the intake manifold flap servo motor failing, oil drips from the Turbo seal on to the top of it, costs around £900 to repair if it goes.( I`ve had one go on the 280 and one on this car )

Other than that a great old battle bus thumbsup

Brill thanks for the reply!

They do seem pretty rare, maybe everyone bought the diesel, but at that mpg I don't see why.

I don't think they do an e350 petrol estate or I would consider it.

Did you drive a CDI e350 to compare? I've not driven any yet.
