Hi All,

I need to replace my exhaust silencers (have the switchable exhaust) as it's both rusted, has some cracks and it was badly fitted last time around by last car owner.

Now thinking about what to get:

- My local Porsche indy quoted me 1300 for the pair, stainless steel, fitted, etc.

- Looking around I've found loads of options - some cross pairs, some standard OE, etc. A set of DesignTek - seem to be quiet cheap and look reasonably good. Has anyone fitted these - what's your experience like? What's the sound like?

Link if you want to see: https://www.design911.co.uk/fu/prod1586/Exhaust-Muffler-Silencer-Sports-System-DesignTek-for-Porsche-997-3606009702/

Any advice or alternatives welcome.

Thanks.

They do look great value those boxes & with a extra 8-10bhp afterwards Smile ( highly doubtful)
Not exactly expensive at £475 even if it does mean using existing tail pipes .
Be interested to hear views from anyone who has a set of these

Have a look at current issue of 911&Porsche World. Extensive pics of my C4S being fitted with Milltek silencers. Good noise IMHO! Less 'raspy' than PSE - but I didn't realise both my silencers were split!!
