Very interesting! I made my own polyurethane engine mounts once for my MR2. It was an NVH abomination. I probably used the wrong shore hardness! Think I went for 80... Ended up buying some ok used ones and enhancing with tiger seal which did the job nicely.

Yes I'll fit the parts myself. Any special tools required? Is it recommended to replace any bolts?


I would say solid engine mounts would be a night mare. Most polybushes are made from 85A for road use and 95A for track. Ive opted for 85A for the dog bones. Any I can find for sale are 95 it I’m aiming to fit solid subframe bushes so I thought a compromise was in order for the rest.
I used 60 in the engine mounts and it’s seems to be a good job.

Atm I’m planning on doing the rest in 85. This is a trial run but I think it’ll be dead on. If I want to change anything I can easily make a different grade as I have the moulds. Once I get some more sorted, I’ll start a thread on it.

Who knows, I might even sell a few

I'll check the colour of the expansion tank on the weekend...

I already have these engine mounts! Made big difference to the body control mid corner, as well as obviously engine movement and response
