Local garage are refusing to regas my 993 as it has no recommended gas label on the car. I'm sure I've always used R134A but their data states that it can use two gases R134A and another, possibly R22.

They are stating that if the two gases are mixed the chemical reaction can be hazardous.

My workshop guy at work says they have only charged it with R134A but they won't take his say so.

Is there any technical information from Porsche available?
:heat:

Give Jim @ Chillout a call 07798 913054 he will have the correct info.
Surely they should purge the old gas anyway before a refill anyway?
I'm pretty sure it's R134A.

They said it's the residual oil in the system that's dangerous ???

Any way found the original sticker 911 701 141 00 states it's a R134A car only. I think their data is wrong, as earlier 911s had R134A/R12 or just r12 stickers.

However all stickers have the same part number.
