This thread has started a dangerous thought process that will be difficult to stop. Was at Porsche in the Glen and saw this awesome mint green 944 and have now been looking at similar 993's about every 6 minutes today

I think that is a chap called Alan's wrapped 968 Sport, going by the rear light cluster; it's Black underneath..

But yes, love the colour.. Saw a 968 on Brighton Seafront that colour; it was in a bit of a state so hopefully was headed for a full resto..

JZM have had this 964 RS Rep in a coupla times.. Love it..

What split rims are they..?

As mentioned by cableguy, Tramont Cup wheels. I'm very happy with them. See the thread linked above, for a lead on a set potentially still for sale...

Looks sooooo much better!! Rear wiper delete and head light washer weld up is the icing on the cake!!

Well done!!

Inspired choice? Wink ...really glad I went ahead with both! Thumb

Chet - it looks stunning. Absolutely love it, and well done for the inspired colour choice. I think matching seat belts would be fab...am contemplating either yellow or red seat belts on mine to add a splash of colour to the drab grey 90s interior. Could paint the hardbacks too... Question

Thank you Pierre! Seat belts a maybe for the future. As for painting the hardbacks, I think I'd need a set of hardbacks first Laughing. At the sum they command, a set of Recaro PP or Hans Hahn may be better options. Not sure either would suit daily duties... and I cannot afford either anyway Laughing.

That's fantastic, many congratulations Chet! Like having a new car I'd imagine!

As the interior was retrimmed not too many miles ago, I imagine it is like a new car.

Are you leaving the paint as is, or thinking about some sort of paint protection?

Thank you Harry and Sutton! Very kind! Indeed it feels like having a new car, yet the feel, smell, etc. is pleasantly familiar. Best of both worlds? Hope to see you both again soon.

I had long contemplated PPF (and hence my eagerness to see yours in person) and Ceramic Coating. Both are a bit of a minefield in terms of options, and also pricey. I'm currently undecided, and happy to be without for the immediate term. May simply stick with my tried and trusted wax: Collinite 845.

Nick, the perfect colour for your S IMO would be GT3RS Ultraviolet. Bandit

Only ever seen one 993 painted and it is an RWB. Less bells and whistles would look awesome. The colour isn't a million miles from Vesuvius either...

Amazing colour Smile I have a huge hankering for Murano Green, it was a standard 964 colour, it has a bit of a flip personality changing from blue to green depending upon the light. I would love a 964 in that colour.

If you have a hankering for a purple one Amaranth Violet was a factory colour I can recall seeing 968's in but not many 993's.

Yummy, wish we go back in time and order all the colourful colours rather than the dark greens and blues that were in vogue at the time.

Great pics ch3tman. Bandit

Front plate needs moving up a smidge, the bottom of the plate needs to be sitting on the ridge/indent around the front grille.
