Hi guys !

I'm new to here and needing a little help !

My father in law has a 991 turbo S and has recently had an accident in it and the driver side wheel carrier needs replacing, now apparently they are on back order till August!!! So trying to source part somewhere else but apparently there are none in the world !!??, how true that is I don't know ? But any help or ideas welcome ,I also have a part number and diagrams of the part in question . Thanks

There are a few 2nd handers on eBay. You can fit one of those and if you get paranoid, fit a new one when you get it.

Unless you're in the hands of the OPC, if so, pointless asking on here as your destiny is in their hands.

Welcome by the way

Have a ring round parts specialists and main dealers, you might get lucky if one has stock, as I was when I was told a suspension part for my 4S was on back order. In fact all I had to do was search online and make one phone call.

Its unlikely that the garage where the car is being repaired will have time or inclination to do anything other than call the local OPC, or Porsche GB parts depot if they are an OPC.

Contact Porsche GB to understand the situation if you haven't already

unfortunately this does happen with 'suppler' parts and a common problem that can result in cars being off the road for longer than expected
