Planning to replace my water pump at the weekend, I know there is something like 8 gallons of coolant in the whole system but have read that you only lose around 2 gallons when changing the pump. Anyone done this job, any tips? Will need a bigger bucket if I need to drain 8 gallons Surprised

there are some good tutorials about, from memory, I removed engine mounts, there are a couple of difficult bolts to get at on the pump, you almost need a flexi drive. Its possible to snag the gasket while putting the pump back so need to be extra careful. The gasket doesn't look like a gasket, its metal, but it works. Got my pump from Autodoc, excellent price and OEM.

Cheers timbo, have read a few of the tutorials and there is a good video on Youtube but they never cover everything! Looks a pretty easy job though! Ordered my pump and alternator from Autodoc, good prices. I ordered the Pierburg pump, think they are the OEM manufacturer, and it comes with a new gasket Thumb
