Hi guys, my 94 993 has had some rising idling problems recently, to be more specific, it's had a rough idle, hunting and sticking/rising idle from cold. So far i have cleaned the ISV and replaced the DME relay. So now it's not hunting, the idle is fine if you rev the throttle but if you accelerate hard when you come of the gas pedal it will stay up in the 2 - 3000 rev band.Bit embarrassing sitting at the traffic lights.lol

The car has had very little attention by the previous owner of 8 years as they felt it had only covered on average 1k a year so assume nothing has been changed in that period plugs, leads etc....

Thanks Rich

What Trev said and have a look at the throttle pedal and linkage, check for errant mints, coins etc which may have rolled there.

yes pull the pedal board out and inspect, it can get quite manky under there.

Hi guys, took her out again today for a fairly long run, idle slightly better but still sitting at 1200 when warmed up, will check under the pedal etc, thanks
