I did a great circular yesterday, Settle, Kirkby Lonsdale, Sedbergh, Kirkby Stephen, Middleton in teesdale, Barnard Castle, Leyburn via Richmond, Hawes and finally back to settle via Horton in Ribblesdale.

Better done on a weekday and out of school holidays, and if the weather is dry it's a fantastic drive.

Here's a google maps link that shows the route. This one starts in Richmond, but you get the idea.

Better tell Google that the real Richmond is in North Yorkshire, not west smoggy land. Otherwise a great route though. Quite a few of us in the area available for a run in office hours, so keep an eye on the events page for runs.

Hope to meet up soon.

Ha! Richmond Terrace in Blackburn. Don't bother going there.......trust me.

Up North for a few days.
Today I drove from Downham, Lancashire up to the west side of Cumbria. Great roads up to Kirkby Lonsdale from Downham, fairly quiet and dry.
Pity I wasn't in the 911. :frustrated:

Surprised I didn't see you, did a very similar trip on Monday, including Middleton, Barnard and Leyburn.

Started off at Penrith to Hayden Bridge then back to Alston and Barnard Castle then down to Harrogate missing most of the main roads, started off a very nice day for it but turned a little overcast further North, hardly saw any other cars.
