Hi all looking at a Carrera S triptronic can anyone explain exactly how it works and what driver adjustments can be made ?
Thanks Stewart

The first adjustment to make is to remove the first 'r'.

Once you have a Tiptronic you're ready to go.

For driving in automatic mode you select 'D'. The car will pull away in second (after the first start of the day) and select one of the five gears as it so chooses.

The harder you drive (ie the more aggressive you are on the throttle) the longer the car will hang on to the revs. It learns what type of driving you're doing.

If you want to drop down a gear you can either floor the loud pedal or use the thumb buttons on the steering wheel. You don't need to do put the car in 'M' to do this but it will revert to driving in 'D' after about 8 seconds.

If you want to control what gear the car is in just select 'M' and use the thumb buttons on the steering wheel to select gears.
