** See Page 3 For Collection Day **

Hi guys, well it's been a long time coming but I've finally joined the club!

Back in '74 (aged 8 years old) I fell in love with the look and sound of one of these beauties:

A few years later my Dad bought me a Scalextric 935:

Now, 44 years after it all began and after 7 months searching, I'm the proud owner of one of these:

I wasn't originally looking for a 4S (or a glass roof) but this car had a great spec (for me) and as soon as I sat in the drivers seat and saw those wide hips in the mirrors, well that was it... Very Happy

991 C4S (2013) PDK
GT Silver Metallic
Black over Platinum Grey Leather
Extended Leather Pack (Dash/Cards/Tunnel)
Brushed Aluminium Pack
Sport Chrono Package
Porsche Sports Exhaust
20 Inch Carrera Classic Alloys
14 Way Seats
Heated Seats
Sport Design Steering Wheel
Bose Surround Sound
Glass Tilt/Slide Sunroof
PCM Incl Navigation
Bi-Xenon incl PDLS
Telephone Module
Light Design Pack
Auto Dimming Mirrors
Park Assist F & R
Rear Wiper

Only 18,000 miles with 2 previous owners and a full OPC service history - in fact it's just had a major service, including all fluids, filters, belts, plugs, air-con, alignment and the 111 point OPC check within the past few weeks.

Got the usual 2 year OPC Warranty & Assistance package.

I've never been averse to travelling to find the right car and this one was about 100 miles away at Dick Lovett in Swindon - but they've been fantastic to deal with and I'd happily recommend them.

Have a very specific look in my mind for this car (in hand already) but wanted to share a few pics with you for now Very Happy Very Happy

Thanks for the kind words gentlemen - much appreciated Thumb

I'm not going mad with the mods - can't really if I want to keep the OPC warranty but just a few bits. The changes may not be to everyone's taste but I like 'em.

Pics of collection to follow - more of the car, less of me Very Happy

Really Nice Thumb
GT Silver looks great with classics.

The best feeling: "Just popping out for a drive in the Porsche!"
Second best feeling: Sneaky look at it through the curtain when it's on the drive (we've all done it!)

Very pleased for you. Both you and I were clearly looking for similar cars as I was in discussion with Swindon on the very same car, but was away on hols so could not view it or pull the trigger. I agree they were very good with communication etc and it had a great spec.

Its a lovely car!

I’m very pleased its been bought by another enthusaist and someone on the forum!

Go drive it and enjoy

Thanks! The dealer said it had received a fair amount of interest but having missed a car only a few weeks before I pounced as fast as I could (which isn't very).

I read about the issue with the PDK on your first car - glad you got sorted and love the look of the Turbo alloys on your Agate car Thumb

Thanks Jungle, that's very gracious under the circumstances Thumb

I'm sure there'll be more nice cars coming through as folks move towards the 992, so hopefully you'll find yours soon Smile
