Hi all,

My left indicator has started to stop working on occasion. I'm after a sensible method of diagnostic for the part replacement.

Problem is as follows:
Left indicator is selected by switch,
Sometimes the indicator operates normally
Sometimes you can hear the relay clicking rapidly but no dashboard indicator flash
Sometimes nothing happens at all , no relay, no flash
Sometimes a wiggle of the stick will allow function
Sometimes it comes on by random but will then disappear
Sometimes a mix of all the above

The searches I've done seem to focus on the self cancelling issues. However my lever locks into place correctly and will self cancel correctly. Right indicator functions without fault.

Wondering about what a sensible method of diagnostic would be.
So far what I know is:
Hazards work,
Dashboard will flash both indicators and all 4 bulbs flash on exterior so all indicator bulbs function.

Possible areas to investigate?
Switch itself
Relay
Fuse?
Hazard switch?
Headlight ground points?
Indicator bulbs?
Indicator housing?

I feel like it's most likely the switch itself but any other ideas would be grand. Would be going for a cruise upgrade if the switch needs replacing

Thanks.

It'll be the stalk/switch, in all likelihood..

Agree, a new stalk set will likely fix it

If it turns out to be the stalks, it may be a good time to upgrade to OBC and Cruise Control if you don't already have them?

If you intend to replace what you have without adding cruise control I have a good stalk which you can have cheap. PM me if interested.
