Started the car and it flashed

" Service 1000 Miles"

I have not seen this message before as in the past I have seen,
" Service in ( ) days "so many days

My question is is does it show a countdown in miles and if so how does it count down 750 , 500 . 250 etc...

Servicing can be due on miles or time, whichever occurs first. I've only had reminders for time as I haven't hit the miles required first.
 
Yes you're right I have done more miles than ever over the last year.

Just ordered all the parts for my first DIY Major service...in 1 k apparently
