I'm fairly sure that those are 19" 997 Turbo II Alloys, usually found on the Turbo.

They are quite popular on 997.2 C4S. There are some fakes ones on the market too.

Thanks for the replies back!

These fake ones, how could we tell the difference? Would there be any marking on the rims??

Also if i were to fit these wheels from a C4 to a C2, would it fit straight meaning woukd the reat stick out or would it be just right?

Cheers

J

Can anyone tell me how to tell fake from OG Turbo II wheels? I'm looking at buying a car with Turbo II wheels fitted which it didn't have from new and want to find out if they're genuine or not.

Thanks,
Martin

In my experience fakes (or replicas) might be heavier than the originals, or they might be less 'precise' (in that they'll have slightly thicker spokes, or less definition and sharpness in the design). And they might have no markings at all on the insides of the spokes. It depends on who made them. You really need to be able to compare a replica with an original.

I would expect to see some clear markings on the back of the wheels, similar to those in the attached photo. These are not a direct comparison as they are not the same wheel, but these are my genuine sport design (BBS) alloys. Whilst these markings could be faked, they should be very clear and crisp in manufacture.
