Hi Guys

Given my cars colour scheme, what colour would you change the wheels too?
I have liaised with the wheel specialist and I have ruled out any form of diamond cutting mainly due to a reduced warranty and the likelihood of corrosion thereafter.

The main aim is to reduce the appearance/visibility of brake dust on my wheels. Any spec of dirt on the silver drives me crazy :frustrated:

Feel free to recommend other options that may not be featured in the Poll. Pictures also appreciated :thumb:

Have you tried washing them weekly?

Personally I would be embracing the macadamia and going for something like Finn on here has done . :thumb:

Sorry to TheFinn, but the colour of those wheels is not to my taste, although I like the wheels very much.
OP - stick with silver.
All wheels look better in silver, in my (boring, I know) opinion. Just as denim should be blue, TV's should be big, paint looks better than wallpaper, and Frazzles are the king of snack foods.
It's just the way things are.

I wash and seal them regularly. The dirt/dust easily comes off but what I don't like are the visible marks between washes. I know wheels are wheels and brake dust is unavoidable, it really really annoys me

I never ever get a build up of brake dust on my alloys, except when I do a non stop run down to France - 1100 miles in 17 hours. I just have to put up with road muck and salt. Maybe your pads aren't helping and there may be a better solution there? :dont know:

COB , frazzles must be the accountants choice are there more in the packet for your money   we know that bugles are the snack of choice . although I dont shop in Tesco much but was there the other day and found some snacks that were potato bravas and aioli flavour they were lovely .
I love the alloy colour of Finns car but accept we all have different taste in things inc snacks

Valid point :thumb:

I'm sure there's some posts on here with recommendations on dustless pads.

No worries each to their own I have the origional silver wheels tucked up as well just in case I go off them and swap back but I don't think I will.

This is the sports design wheels on my old car in black chrome to help you decide

What colour is the OP's car, can't tell from the pic.

I think a contrasting colour looks best , otherwise the wheels get lost.

So I'd be err'ng towards silver, which I know you dont like , but it seems not for esthetic reasons , just practicality ? - Have you tried a good ceramic coating.
A regular blast with a jet wash and wipe down should keep them clean.

Stick with silver and ceramic coat them, then just give them a blast with an airline or squirty bottle of water between washes :thumb:

I seem to suffer with stonechips on my wheels, but then again I drive mine like I stole them
