OK I was cleaning the inside of one of my rear wheels.....and I dropped it on the drive. Chipped the coating off in 4 places on the outer surface. I had the wheels stripped and powder coated by the Wheel Specialist back in 2010. Tried to get the colour matched, wet paint, but not 100% :nooo: So with my OCD I'm going to have all 4 painted. As there is no Wheel Specialist on the Costa Blanca :x I'm going for wet paint, so thought I'd ask if anyone has a colour code for the stock Porsche metallic silver :?:

Any input greatly appreciated. :thumb:

That's annoying Graham. Never mind.

9A1 is the general silver on most one piece Porsche alloys.
However some sources state that is only from 2000-2004.

The earlier code is 61M.

I don't know how different they are but either of those would be fine and then at least you know what they are for future touch ups.
You can google either code and 'Porsche wheel paint" and it should bring up more info.

I've always gone for 9A1 and it has always been a decent match.
Good luck. :thumb:

When I had a similar issue, Chris at Exel Wheels (who supplied mine) suggested the best option would be Honda Vogue Silver. You can buy the paint or a touch-up kit. I didn't bother in the end as I was changing wheels anyway.

Thanks Tobesetc for the info :thumb: I've found a company in Alicante that does the same process as the Wheel Specialist so just waiting for them to come back with a quote. Hopefully they'll be similar price wise to the WS.
