Hi all, new to the forum and will be having a read to see what new things I can learn.

New to 911 ownership around 7 months ago, and after 8 years of dreaming / wanting a GR 997 I finally have my dream car.

I work for the dealer group Dick Lovett and when I saw that Porsche Swindon had this in stock I just had to have it! all be it I was initially looking for a 2S.

Spec is as follows, sold and maintained by Porsche Swindon from new.
Manual 4s with Bose, Sunroof, PSE, Sports Chrono and a few others.

Having done around 3k so far I am really looking forward to some bigger trips this year, and am currently planning to drive to Italy for some car events.

Hopefully I can get along to meet a few other 997 owners but i haven't seen many in my local area of Bath.

Welcome to 911uk.

Nice wheels, one or two GR fan boys on here, yours looks well. Thumb

Were the pics taken at Lucknam Park?
Went there a few years ago to treat the better half, very enjoyable.

Really nice looking motor! Dark centres with polished rims is the way to do lobster claws, really works nicely with guards red.

Thank you. I wasn't sure on the wheels at first but now love them.

Funny story, they came from the factory on a black cab that was in the showroom. I believe you could spec body colour at the time. A gentleman really wanted to buy the showroom car but didnt like the wheels so a swap was made and they have been black ever since.

Yes i actually work for Aston Martin.. also in Cribbs

It is 100% original at present and with the 2 year warranty it will stay like that for a bit. The plan is to mod it however.

Ha I know GR isn't for everyone but it was the biggest must have for me when finding a 997.

Yes indeed Lucknam. Not far from me and always makes a good spot for a few pictures.

Wide bodied 997s look awesome in Guards Red.

I've had the pleasure of following many a wide bodied 997 and Carreras always look so much wider by not having the fixed wing. Red seems to amplify the effect.

I know it's an optical illusion but worship

Thanks for the welcome.

Also thanks for the comments on the pictures. I shoot freelance in my spare time and do a bit of work with Total911, you might of seen my car a few months back for a 997 feature.

The wide body was the massive plus for not worrying about it being a 4S and with it being red I am glad it doesn't have the reflector.
