As part of checking the chassis legs involves removing the exhaust boxes, when reassembling what are the thoughts on using exhaust paste on the sealing rings or should they be assembled dry?

I've had my boxes off a few times now and have always put the rings back dry. Never had a problem.

ATB :)

Yes dry, just wire brush any corrosion and don't lose them they are daft expensive to replace. Plenty of lube and heat on the nuts for the heat shields and stays it's a real pia if you snap those studs.

Dry, tighten clamp then a few good bangs with a hammer and tighten again.
