Drove to work this morning in the 997 - approx 25 miles mostly 50-70 speed limits. Suspension felt a little choppy but as car had recently been in to fix PASM been stuck in sport mode I put it down to it playing up again. It got worse as I got nearer to work especially rear passenger wheel So I decided to drive it straight to OPC to get them to check it out. After I parked up I had a quick look around the car. Definitely not the PASM as you can see from picture.

Surprised you didn't see the cloud of smoke in your rear view mirror and the stench of burning rubber.

I would just like to say .. these are impressive tyres fitted .. one or 2 miles at least at high speed with no air .. pretty good going in anyones book.

My wifes kia might have made it 20 yards after a tyre let go .

There was no smoke or rubber burning smell - no real drama and about 12 miles was done at 70mph - just a very slight increase in vibration at 70mph - so I was surprised to see damage. Pleased damage is just the tyre.

Very lucky the rim is ok.

Hope you didn’t have to pay OPC tyre prices though!
