I've had my car for over a year now and held a reserve fund just in case anything went wrong (16 years old two previous owners, should be ok but you never really know). Fortunately for me apart from an Alternator, Indicator Stalk and Lambda sensor everything is cool after 12k miles. I love this car and think I'll be keeping it :D

Inspired by others on here who've modded and had a bit of fun.. I too want some reversible fun on the aesthetics..

The plan is Gold / Bronze colour on my existing rims in the exact same colour used by Porsche on the new GT3's... Id also add some spacers (suspension is new MO30 so won't be changing that) to give it a wider stance and fill the arches a bit more).

Bear in mind my car also has a tan interior so it might tie in quite nicely... a modern/classic/70sRetro C4s that will definitely turn a head or two!! Maybe even a matching PORSCHE decal on the side too?!

I've procrastinated over this for hours! Over to you :thumb:

(Found the 964 photo on Google, Car nothing to do with me but I like it lots!)

With your wheels you could possibly have them wrapped in that colour if you don't want to paint them. I think it would look good but everything needs to match but maybe not to much gold.

Maybe a simple gold pinstripe with lettering rather than full on decal, like the black one on mine.

I would go for a darker bronze colour, like you get on many JDM cars

I had the same anguish with my c4s. I really wanted to paint the wheels gold but bottled out in favour of a bright silver with a fleck in it. But i regretted not going for gold! So just do it!!

Bronze - Yes
Gold - No

Hard to quantify exactly how I'm defining that! It's entirely a personal preference... but... going down the route of using an actual current Porsche factory colour option is often a good way to go... particularly re finish i.e. matt, satin, gloss, etc

You'll always offend a few purists. As well as few radicals. Regardless of what you do.

In short: with so many preferences/options having been offered/taken with Porsches over the years, you can basically do whatever appeals to your personal taste (within reason) and not need to worry about total uproar. One of the genuinely cool things about Porsche ownership.

yeah Im definitely leaning more towards a Matt Bronze

Does anyone know which paintcode JDM use? That looks like I'd imagine it would.. really like it! :thumb:

I think gold or bronze is more suited to wheels with thin spokes.

I love gold alloys on black..........but not gold Turbo Twists.

How about Weiss Gold?

Definitely have a go. Worst case you can always change it back if you get tired of it....
