The dealers along that stretch are all pretty much the same - they buy from auction for 50% of what its listed as, polish it up and give it a thorough vacuuming and then flog it on hoping to turn a profit. I saw several C4's that had obviously been standing in a field for months before being auctioned - not a great place to leave a car especially given the recent hot summer.
As for the vehicle itself - they are apparently open to any inspections which is good, and from the interior it looks like its had some upgrades. The keyfob also looks new.
#1 rule of any 911 of any vintage: ***HISTORY***
Ask to see all the paperwork, invoices etc. If there is none, you are blind and its only a good buy if you can do both engine and gearbox rebuilds for less than £20k all in.
Best to walk if you don't have confidence in the car unless you can do your own inspection of the repair. Especially as the seller has misled you with the date of repair.
It might have been re-done in those 5 days, but for the risk its not worth it.
Alignment of the exhaust tips is a bit jaunty.
Looking at the MOT history, surprised to see the headlight aim too low as Litronics are self-levelling
Also surprised to see four tyres worn out again in 7k miles and wearing unevenly... and not the first time. Alignment presumably well out.
Not sure its cheap enough for me to take a flyer on it.
Plenty more fish etc... _________________ "911- the guilt-free supercar"

Update, have decided to walk away from this one...
Dealer seems sketchy...they say they are in Chesham, Bucks, but phone number is a london 020 8 number.... He doesnt know what was done to the car or what the damage was... the repair certificate is a duplicate, car was damaged in 2004 not at 5 months old...
The way I see it, if you have any doubt with it, which you do because you have done this post, then don't expect others to have good feelings about this car when you go to sell it.

shame, but as they say if it seems to good to be true....
Given these cars have undertrays it is probably hiding even more bodge ups. The thing I find strange about all the CAT D/C cars that come up is there is never any receipts for the repair, or photographic evidence of the full danage and repair process. If someone restores a car they document it all. Would not touch that car, it looks even from the MOT history to be a death trap. Another £5k probably gets close to a straight car. You can do £5k on an annual service if a few other bits need doing.
