Have been looking for some time for an affordable OEM quality front splitter to balance out the ducktail only to find that other than some sus custom splitters the only option appears to require replacement of the complete bumper at great expense.

I then found a guy in the US who produces an adaptor kit which enables a standard OEM 991 splitter to be installed in the mounting holes on the 997.2 bumper. I'm very pleased with the look and ease of installation and can recommend the setup to anyone who wants a OEM quality splitter at a reasonable price.

More details can be found here ...https://rennlist.com/forums/997-forum/1088022-991-sports-lip-spoiler-adapter-for-997-2-done.html

Very nice and member Monster has done the same mod on his 997.2 front bumper, looks great and very OE unlike some of the bulky aftermarket options :thumb: :thumb:

I am just waiting on my adapters - the chap sells them on eBay! Not the cheapest but it gives a factory finish from what I have seen.... plus the 991 Splitter is cheap as chips!

Yes as Phil says - I did mine a year or so ago before he had developed the fitting kit he is now selling - clever guy and he makes the parts up on a 3D printer I believe. Here's a few pics of mine with it fitted.

I think its a mod all gen2 owners with stock front bumpers should be doing as its such an OE look . :thumb: :thumb:

would it fit a 997.1 phil? or just gen 2 cars

That looks great, but the reflection of that sky on the bumper in the second pic is enough to make a bloke  for a bit of home. Great work on your car :thumb:
