First commute in the 992...

Pretty good start at 30mpg on a new engine & chassis that’s not bedded in yet.

Wet mode triggered in a timely manner when it started raining! Quirky feature.

Sat in a bit of traffic, it’s quite nice to sit there stroking my wood in a 911 Wink

I’m absolutely delighted with it, a beautiful contrast and texture against the black leather and the other interior trim and components.

I’m hoping they make the wood trim available for the two black plastic panels either side of the gear stick. Either that or I blag the sample wood panel from the dealer that they now have, and get it professionally fitted by an independent lol.

Picked up the car from the Detailer’s today... been in for a few days to be prepped and ceramic coated. Such a depth in the colour, photos don’t do it justice. Timed well for today’s rain, beading off.

Looks gorgeous, mine is in with my detailer as we speak, hopefully get it back tomorrow. How did your detailer find the quality of the paint work? Mine has corrected quite a lot of pitting on the roof and boot lid.

Wasn’t anything of note from the Detailer...

Now 500 miles in, unintended but noted the mpg creeping up... it’s practically sensible.

Would be interesting to compare the actual MPG to when you fill up, so see how optimistic or honest the OBC is Dont know

It’s marginally pessimistic... just done factual calc and so far average is actual 27.4mpg, computer reading 26.7.... so pretty close and factual!

In non-cupholder news... takeaway tested fine. No need for the cup holder that was removed by the lawyers it seems.

Priceless!

I did a loop last 24hrs of Nottingham, Cambridge, Oxford, Somerset and back to Notts... blend of country roads and motorway. Loved every mile.

There are a number of noticeable refinements, internal acoustics definitely better... and fuel tank range is extra 50 miles which was a nice surprise. The performance is simply ballistic! I’ve now set two speed alarms, as you seriously wouldn’t know you’re at double the motorway limit.

It’s Silverstone Friday Morning!!! 😁
