Hi all,
Quick question my neighbour has an early Boxster and his switchgear has failed. He has obtained one from breaker but on arrival its labelled for 2007my 987 and switch gear is different shape ( labels have part numbers staring with 997) It may well be that all the hardware and harness is compatible but don't want to strip down and find it doesn't fit
Anyone done it? Thanks in advance

Im not sure what a switch gear is .. indicators ?

Either way if the number starts with a 997/987 then it wont fit a 986 ..

If you had a 987 and the part had a 986 number then there is a good chance it will fit as they have used old parts on a newer model car ... never the other way around though imho .

Thanks as always, thought would be no good, will get him to return it. Thanks again
