There a couple of 70/80 k mile examples on AT for around £36/37k. Both with dealers. Private example Cabrio at 92k up at £35k.

Good luck with your search, good choice :D

I think if you can track down a nice manual narrow body Carrera (not an S model) these can represent excellent value. Only 10.5k NB 997.2 Carreras made so quite a rare thing. This option also has the added value of a few grand cheaper than the go-faster 3.8.

I agree with others a decent narrow body car with ave spec and with ave miles mid 30s.

Just had a quick look, the spread of prices seems to be all over the place, anywhere from £35k-45k for an S model and some boggo Carreras around £30k.

Nowt wrong with a boggo Carrera.

They're going to be the ones that rocket in value soon. especially manual ones

So no 25 baggers then lol.......so looking at 30ish plus
Thanks for the input fellas much appreciated ironically just been offer and 82 sc with rebuit engine for 30ish......must resist lol
First world problems eh

I know you said gen 2, but many feel that the best value is a gen 1 with an engine rebuild to remove bore scoring problems. Hartech is the most obvious name to look for, but other specialists exist of course.
£25k should secure a nice car with a future-proofed Hartech rebuild, I'd have thought.

Yep, £25k got me into a freshly rebuilt 997.1 with 51k on the clock.

Rebuilt motors at that price and mileage hard to find :thumb: I think that's what I may look for in the future, non rebuilt gen 1's still expensive.

Didn't think about that"..........sounds like a plan.....👍👍👍👍

As god intended, or the designers. :D Everything after that is gravy. I much prefer the ride on the standard wheels but the Carrera sports just look so much better so I'm prepared to sacrifice a bit of purity for them.

I would definitely try push towards a Gen 2 Carrera if you can. Not only for the mechanical piece of mind. But the interior/radio etc are all a little more finished off and "current"

A touch screen sat nav over a twiddly knob
