Is a Porsche with a GM stump-puller engine still a Porsche :x . Only in the US
 
So according to their website, it is about $8620 or £6500 for the parts which will exclude labour I am guessing?

Better off with a 3.9l Hartec engine :)
 
What hp does a 3.9l Hartec engine put out? And what is the cost of that motor?

I'd edge a bet the V8 pushes more pound for pound *runs for cover
 
I think it is around £10K for a rebuilt 3.8 engine?
The V8 car may well have more power but come time to sell it is worthless :)
 
To carry out this conversion i read somewhere its $35000, new engine, exhaust etc, basically a complete new car, to be honest in my opinion its not a porsche anymore!! The whole point is haveing the engune and everything around it but that have a different engine in a porsche shell if feel very uncomfortable...

one of the guys down here has just started his LS3 convertion of his dead cayman 480 bhp V8 :grin: will be a beast when its done and should send purists into a meltdown :thumb: :thumb:
