hi,
I am thinking of moving to a 991 soon, test drove one at OPC recently. my question is around warranty, my current 997 is not covered by any warranty, so if anything breaks I would have to pay to fix it.
I would presumably want a proper Porsche warranty on a newer car, not that i'm expecting anything to go wrong but at least I could take it to OPC and not get stung!
if I buy from OPC, I believe they put a 2 year warranty on the car, is that correct?
if I buy from A.N.other dealer, or a private buyer, can I take it to Porsche and get a warranty put on it? is the normal process to agree to buy if they put it through the 111 point check with Porsche and then if it passes I take out the warranty, if it fails on anything the seller would get these sorted?
and lastly, where I see some for sale and it states "remaining warranty until 2019" etc.. how is this transferred, is it easy enough?
thanks
