As Terry said in an earlier post the Porsche Freunde is better timed next year and the group(s) can fit more in.

I'll probably also get destroyed for suggesting Disney Cartoon characters as next years theme to Phil, Jimbo, Faried etc, so hands up I'll buy you a beer if you come next year and are forced to wear a disney outfit!

Phil - Surprised the 2020 thread is not yet up and running!!!

Gents sorry for the late post but have been asleep since Thursday Grin Grin just to agree with the other comments another great trip and funny as hell company , I seem to spend the whole time laughing Floor

I am still laughing at Faried ending up being called Farouk of the West .
and that we agree to become Vegans ..... Well what we actually agreed was to become Vegan plus plus . So for those that dont know Vegan ++ is vegan plus dairy plus meat Floor Floor Floor Floor
and another funny moment was at the old race circuit in Reims and Faried standing looking at all the old run down pits and stands and saying "I wonder when it closed" and getting the reply "about half past four" lol .

Yes RobIpswich is to blame for the 2020 Disney theme so you have all been warned Grin Grin Grin and its great timing so hopefully a good few will decide to join the fun and games .

The Germans do seem to enjoy it and say we bring not only great cars but an entire show Grin Grin

We got pulled by the law on the run home through Belgium , we took a wrong turn on the duel carriageway and did a donut in the road to get back in the right direction . a few mins later we are pulled over the very strict policeman said he had been following us for a while since we took the wrong turn and was not happy with us , we waited to be told about doing a donut across the duel carriageway but he was more concerned we hadnt used our indicators during the manoeuvre and said it was dangerous not to signal before a manoeuvre ... well trying to keep a straight face was difficult while saying we will be sure to indicate before doing a donut in the future on any duel carriageways Grin Grin they are a funny old bunch the rozzers Cop Cop Cop Grin

The only bit that was a shame was when we were doing 157mph on day 2 trying to keep up with Farouk of the west , Jimbos car melted heres to hoping its not to serious.

So heres to Dinslaken 2020. Thumb Thumb Thumb Thumb

The laughs oh the laughs
Being told by the rozzers who looked like they were going to arrest us to GO FOR IT coming out of the tolls
Hunting for petrol
Two way radio banter
Loads more stuff

Highly recommendable

Yes all of the above comments 👍👍
Me and my nav young James thoroughly enjoyed the trip, and managed to find my great grandfathers headstone, at a war grave near Ypres, A very special end to a fabulous time with great company.
Now to sort a Disney costume for next year Laughing
Cheers, Paul

Wondered why you speared off Dont know .... i have done that road so many times I instinctively took the right road ..... and as i didn`t have a walkie talkie wack
But ... my trip wasn`t without incident, on exiting the Kennedy Tunnel in the p`ing rain, following a large van, I noticed the adjacent lane braking heavily and hazards going on. Then ..... the large van in front was suddenly stationary Surprised Large dose of brakes, ABS kicking in but still sliding Surprised .... I stopped less than a foot from his bumper puh
Turns out that right in front of the van was a huge artic that had pushed a car sideways into the concrete barrier.
After a short stop for underwear change I made an earlier tunnel than was booked.

Sorry I didn`t get to say Cheerio to you chaps but see you on the next one bye

Lucky escape then Surprised that drive was hard going in the rain!

I think I managed to take the same wrong turn as Phil then somehow got back on the right road but in the wrong direction Embarassed so we all got separated! Just about made my tunnel!

The trick is to make sure your not in the first lot of cars behind the pace car, purely by accident we ended up in the last 3 on the track in 2018, so we slowed to admire the scenery, The Ardennes Forest is beautiful, then we 'had' to catch up the group so a bit of caning it was needed, all good fun!

Got my speeding ticket through today Sad. My first ever ticket (in any country) after 28 years of driving!

I was following the PCGB to Dinslaken and the group separated, so I took the opportunity to catch up and was flashed by the speed camera in Oberhausen doing 71km/h in a 60 - it could have been worse I guess... it's a 25EUR fine.
