Hello everyone,

Im thinking of buying a used Panamera E-Hybrid 2014-2016.

I have a few questions:

1. What to look for when buying?
2. Best options to have?
3. Should i buy the warranty if im not buying from a Porsche dealer?
4. Any problems with this model?
5. What is the build quality like?
6. Are they reliable?
7. Best colour? (subjective...but im curious to hear other peoples view)

Many thanks!

Very Happy

not many on the ground with the dash for Hybrids

options, the cars are usually well spec'ed

IMHO Panoramic Roof, Privacy Glass, Memory Seats and Air suspension are a must, but the latter is hard to find

the Gen 2 958 cars are fairly reliable, just dont expect the claimed MPG, you will get real world MPG in the 30's, so about diesel levels without the pollution which can only be good thing

Not quite the same but I’ve had a 2018 Hybrid Panny loan car for a couple of weeks.
The E-Power takes 5 hours to charge up at home and that’s only good for circa 25 miles

The Hybrid system charges up whilst running circa 4 miles and also whilst braking but that’ll only give about half a mile before that runs out and starts to charge again.
IMV Porsche isn’t leading the way on these types of cars.

Just put petrol in the car now it’s not worth faffing about for the small extra free mileage?

I stand to be corrected on this, but Be careful, I think the Porsche warranty is 6/7 years or 70,000miles for the battery pack, after which you are on you're own
and these ain't cheap batteries Sad

Hybrid tech is slowly moving on

958 Gen 1 Hybrid: Cayenne S Hybrid - 1.7 kWh NiMH battery
958 Gen 2 Hybrid (Facelift): Cayenne S E-Hybrid - 10.8 kWh Li-ion battery

Both mated to the VAG sourced 3.0V6 328bhp supercharged engine

S had an electric range of 1-2 miles and not a plug-in.
S E has a real world range of around 20 miles, plug-in and universal charger.

Noting that the new 2018 Cayenne has a 14.1-kWh battery
