I'm thinking about some all red rear lights. Any thoughts and opinions? And any photos on a Gen 1 arctic silver C2/C2s? Do the bulbs need to be changed? Design911 will supply a set for £400 so I want to be sure they will work (they are oem) and that they look ok. There are very few photos on the Web of these on silver Gen 1's. Thanks. :?:

Assume you're thinking of the Gen 1 all red option for turbos?
Might also be a techequipment item.

If so, it's plug and play into another Gen 1.
Should take you all of 5 mins including refreshments.
Looks great imo as it ties in with the calipers (assuming no PCCBs and that it's a 3.8)

(Call OPC for a price too imo)

I like the all red myself , heres a pic on a silver car nice with a red letter S as well.

Why not just have them tinted with a film like LaminX, or tint spray for about £20? :?:

My MX5 lights are covered with red LaminX and it's been fine for 5 years+ now. The downside is the indicator light doesn't flash too bright now.

So with that, I'm considering tinting the Porsche lights. Maybe have a painter apply a thin coat of red paint to achieve the same result but with their stronger paints.

I'm going to order them tomorrow, just need to check what OPC will charge. I'll post some pics once they're done. There are some on eBay but seem pricey compared with new-out-of-the- box. Watch this space! :D

I recommend these. I have them on my car and they are a much better option than a cheap film or aftermarket Gen2 lookalike lights. Looking forward to the pictures :)

The all red for me have not dated well, and the nasty aftermarket Gen2 LED's can look nice as well...

Ahh but not everyone has that lovely aero kit to pull those off

A result of sorts in that OPC Silverstone will supply for £410 less 10% PCGB discount, so much less than the two obvious 911 parts suppliers, but they are on back order, so I'll have to wait.... Which I will. Photos to follow when they're fitted. :D

Lights picked up from OPC Silverstone 40 minutes ago and now fitted (easiest job ever). Pics to follow or try to spot me at Ragley Hall tomorrow! :thumb:

Nice work, take pictures early tomorrow morning before it starts raining :)

come on Hizza wheres the pics of them fitted

Sorry, after the drive back from Ragley Hall (my absolute favourite of the day was the amazing gold coloured 930) the whole rear end is very dirty so bear with me and I'll take some shots with a clean rear. The good news is 1) my wife thinks it looks better and 2) she hasn't asked how much (yet)...... :thumb:
