:dont know:
I was chatting with my neighbour who has a 2001 996 3.4 and he is having a mare of a time trying to get to the bottom of just why he continually has an engine check light re-appearing time and time again. No signs of any problems in running or idle.
I offered to try the collective wisdom here to see if anyone can offer some fruitful advice.
Check light first came on and the code showed a failing cat. Cats replaced(200 cell) but check light re-appeared.
Post cat sensor showing as fault so all 4 sensors replaced with new Bosch items.
Check light re-appears, same sensor flag so spacers fitted to post cat units, check light back on again :eh!:
New K&N air filter and fuel cap on advice gleaned from Rennlist but check light back on after 60 miles.
This is where he is at and when we had the discussion.
I can't think of anything else that might be throwing the warning light, any ideas anyone???
