hi,

996 4S with continental sport contact 2 tyres all round. Fronts will need changing soon but rears have lots of life in them.

So...........

1 replace fronts with same contact 2
2 replace front with non N rated contact 5/6
3 replace the lot with something else

Thoughts ?

Replace all 4 with PS4S Michelins and flog the 2 good tyres on ebay

On my C2 (may be quite different to your C4s) the front tyres last about 4x longer than the rears so I'd replace them with your no.1 choice for grip and feel. My rear SC2 are finished after 13-14,000m so get replaced every 18 months, personally I'd just use up your existing SC2's and get them to match the front after. All of this assumes that you use you car regularly and don't do ~2000m pa.

If op's selling the rears I'd be interested

My fronts were OK but the rears were low, had P Zero´s on.

I changed all 4 for PS2´s for £610 which wasn´t bad I thought :dont know:

Where from?

Given how the fronts do the stopping and turning duties, I would go for the best road tyre I could get for them. Evo's annual tyre test is where I turn when needing to know this. Michelin PS4 or Pirelli PZ4 are their top pick at the moment. I would leave the rears alone, they'll catch up wear-wise in good time and then I would pop PS4s onto them as well. There is no burning need to match tyres front to back unless you're anally retentive or selling.

They do do PS4s in the right size, just not PS4S (4S being a different tyre and small 's' being plural!)...

How is that possible. :dont know: unbelievable

Isn't it the case that the PS4S (replacement for the Pilot SuperSport) starts in 19" sizes, but the PS4 is available in 18"?
I replaced all four PS2s with PS4s (small 's') last year.

Michelin website says no.

No to 18" PS4 being available? Looking at mine right now...

Edit: what width?

No PS4's in 18s

Start at 19s am afraid. Shame as epic tyre
