Last month I and 10 other 911 (991) cars had an amazing week driving over to Switzerland stopping of at Stuttgart visiting the Porsche & Mercedes Museums and then 3 days at Andematt then returning to the UK stopping of at Trier and having a guided tour at Le Circuit de Spa-Francorchamp - Belgium.

This was the first time I have ever drove abroad. The so I was slightly apprehensive. Also reading a few stories of individual having issues getting on and off the ferry (especially having the sports suspension I was even more concerned however pleased to report back no problems. Also had my first experience of the German unrestricted autobahns!

What can I say it was truly an amazing experience something I would recommend fellow drivers to add it on their bucket list!

Defiantly doing it again next year and extend down to Italy.

Great pics Grin

The driving pace looked quite sedate, was there opportunity to nail any of the hairpins?

You’ve definitely added a euro mountain road trip to my bucket list!

Thumb

Yes the driving on this video was more sedate possibly due to the fact the previous day driving we did the opposite direction on the Furka Pass then onto the Neufens Pass and Gotthard Pass which we drove more enthusiastically (being the 1st day in the Alps, however regrettably my SD failed to record previous activities although I doubt that I would have made that video public! Wink

The 1st hotel was rather disappointing we all scraped our front valances (some more than others) on the ramp to the sunken car park at least it's a replaceable part and for me even though mine is 20mm lower I just caught the underside of the plastic valance slightly so it does not show. (Perhaps knowing I have to be careful I took the ramp at an angle and very slow) What was worse the next day having to drive up the ramp knowing we are going to scrape the front again Evil or Very Mad

Frenchmeister the ‘B3 ALP’ number plate would sell at a premium! I felt the B3BT was not engaging enough so I went with a manual gearbox on the 911 much better. Cool

The car left me with number on as it belonged on the car, the next owner left the plate on, the owner after this had a phone call I believe from a dealer from the Midlands, apparently he took 4K for it.

Next year we are driving down to the Dolomites however unfortunately all slots are full so if you are interested you could be added on the Reserve list for any drop outs! https://www.porscheclubgb.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=1001968
