Has anyone one fitted stainless steel brake caliper bleed nipples?

And if so any tips please?

Thanks

Yes 996 recently.

The main danger is snapping off the old nipples. Wasz (I think) made the key point, use a 'T' bar on the socket and not a spanner to make sure you twist the nipple rather than 'pulling' at it.

Put plenty of releasing fluid (NOT WD40) on, ideally the day before so that it can penetrate fully.

if you fill the reservoir, you can probably change the nipples without losing much fluid or letting air in so you may not need to bleed the brakes but I changed the fluid as well. Don't let it run out of fluid or you will need to reset the brakes with a computer, probably PIWIS at your dealer.

Also consider replacing any rusty pipes or knackered hoses at the same time.

It's one of those easy jobs if all goes well, if a nipple breaks, well I'm sorry.

Thanks for the T bar tip.

What releasing fluid would you recommend please?
