Afer sitting on the drive for 2 weeks I gave the car a good washthis morning before taking it for a quick spin to drythe discs. On the start when turning the ingnition and engine on I heard a bizarre popping noise. So switch it off and did it again and got it a second time. Took it for a spin, came back, switchthe engine off, started again and no popping noise anymore on start (as per normal) however the oil check was indicating an estimaad time of 58min!?

What is that all about?

Can't answer the popping noise but the oil reading will always be higher after the cars been started/driven. can only assume its to give the oil time to drain back into the sump.

If it was only a quick drive then thats a normal reading .. its a cold reading basically .. you need to run the car for 20 mins or so and get the one min reading .

Need a sound clip really but it might just be a rich mixture when cold .
