Wiring for cd changer - 1999 model

My old much loved and missed Alfa 166 had a Sony/Becker unit like the one in the first pic and the on board computer was functionally identical to the contemporary Porsche face lift. However the Alfa had a bespoke CD interface that did supposedly not match standard Becker units.
No it is definitely correct.
Mine is also a 1999 and had the Porsche Becker cd changer when I got it.
The CD tray was missing on purchase, I found a Sony one was identical.
I pulled it out and sold it as it was made redundant when I fitted a £2 aux wire instead, and a bluetooth audio adapter which conencts to my phones librrary of music.
Just been out to my car to confirm:
The other end of the wire behind the headunit should have those becker blue / green square plugs. Like this:
I would take a punt on a sony unit if its cheap and the plugs match. If it doesn't work just sell it on.
You would ideally need the porsche bracket it sits on too though...
In fact don't bother.... just get a £2 aux and hook up to your phone / an old phone or old iPod or something.

Further clarification, the Alfa CD unit was physically the same Sony/Becker unit with identical wiring but the electronic logic was different. I needed a CD tray and took the changer to a local audio specialist. Yes the Sony tray is identical but the dealer couldn't get it to work from a standard Sony/Becker head unit . It worked perfectly driven by the Alfa unit.
If your replacement CD unit doesn't seem to work, this could possibly be the reason rather than a faulty changer.
