Hi All,

My centre console is looking a little tired, I can see lots of threads about painting/leather retrim/carbon dipping but I'd quite like it to be redone as standard with that slightly soft touch feel.

Can anyone recommend someone to me? I'm in Hertfordshire and could remove it if need be

Thanks

Neil

Neil,

Wicked coatings in Poole offer a product which has a similar "soft touch" texture to the original finish.

Lots of us have used them before, either individually or in a group buy no complaints that I'm aware of.

It might be worth pricing a new one. the ash tray lid usually needs doing as well. :dont know:

A number of the threads on the refurb mention Wicked coatings in Poole . They also do a soft touch paint finish. It's actually a soft touch clear coat so you can put any colour underneath. I think it might be worth calling them to see what they think?

I had it added on a few red bits of my T5 interior Steering wheel boss caps things). It is not showing any sign of wearing. Looks like frost on metal, but that's more due to the candy red used as the colour coat.

Thanks

I can give wicked coatings a call to see how close it is to the original, I had hoped there would be a specialist that did it to original spec, quite a few of the 997s that I've seen have deteriorated like mine

I can also ask about new, I had assumed that it would be a silly price to get a new one once the Porsche tax is added :(

plus 1 for wicked coatings , I have seen their soft touch and its about as close to OE finish as your going to get , Lyle is the MD hes they guy to talk to about it. :thumb:

I have wicked soft touch finish on my steering wheel centre, I can't stop stroking it  great service and finish!
