What I've learnt about switching to Ferrari and back

Firstly, I can find good in almost any car I drive. I just love cars

I have had Porsches since 1990

I traded my 997.1 for a 2013 458 spider a couple of years ago

Bought thru Graypaul Edinburgh

What ferrari have got absolutely right is their 7 year maintenance package and four year warranty

Not a single bill to worry about

Annual servicing built in

they even replaced the batteries in the tracker fob foc!!

But I only drove it 2000 miles strong my custodianship

It's a pretty big car and when I took it to work I really had to be first into the car park otherwise it's lack of maneuverability made getting back home tricky if it got blocked in

they don't lose money

It's not easy to sell privately unless you like taking big risks

I sold mine as a SOR

Bought a 991.2 4S to replace it from Porsche west London

Hope I like it when it's delivered

I'm sure I will and I'm glad to be back

The link below sums up my experience pretty well

After a 458 Spyder to 991 4S......?

"After a 458 Spyder to 991 4S......eh12"

I'm not sure if you consider this a step up or a step down

If I had limitless funds and a massive garage, I would have kept the 458spider for ever

Likewise, with a bottomless fund I'd have kept every property I've ever owned

The ferrari was great fun but towards the end it was something that came out once in a blue moon

I'm sure I've made the right decision

I love the idea of a 458. I've only ever briefly driven the Speciale, but it was great fun.

I have a job getting my head around the crazy low annual mileage of the usual Ferrari.

Enjoy the 991.2 Going from one of the best NA engines made will be quite a change.

Thanks Magic

I completely agree about the ferrari engine

I loved the hassle free ownership experience

I thought about it being a life long keeper but I love to drive my cars. I couldn't justify putting it into storage

Every car lover must experience ferrari. It really is on a different level. The speciale even more so
