Finally fitted the RPM Carbon Ducktail that I've been deliberating about for a few months!

I think it looks pretty good and suits the car well.

Just need to badge it up now. I've got the black GTS badge which would look "stealth" being black on black. Or do I go for red or silver? Thoughts...?

So easy to fit - 4 bolts and 3 clips! So another mod that's straight forward to revert to stock if need be. The original decklid is pretty heavy (about 14kg I think) whereas the ducktail is sub 2kg if I recall correctly!! It did of course ping up the spoiler failure warning light as soon as "that speed" is reached - big thanks to Sid at Porsche Torque for coding out the retractable spoiler and coding in the fixed spoiler!

I would go with stealth and would stick with your black badge...... although my preference would be to leave it without one!

Looks great :D

Have you had it painted already or is that just a gloss coat?

I can pass on the details that done this to mine if you like?

Thanks, but it's all painted and polished. Black can be an awkward colour to match, and Basalt has various metallics in it so I was nervous, but my painter's done a cracking job! :thumb:

Looks like I'll be going stealth with the black badge - now just have to get the positioning right... :?

Have you kept any carbon on display?

No - there's no carbon anywhere else on the car and I wanted to keep a relatively original-panel look. I'm not really a big fan of carbon on cars (reminds me too much of the Jap F&F stuff and possibly because I've spent too much on carbon bits for Ducatis etc in the past).

Looks very nice, but I'm biased!

Heres mine with the P O R S C H E script in chrome:
