Any Carrera white 997.1's?

Hi all

I spent the weekend looking over a number of 911's at a local car dealer and after looking at various 997's and 991's I actually found myself more drawn to the older car. There is something about the styling, size and shape that I just prefer, not to mention the price difference.

While looking over the cars they had a couple of carrera white cars, one being a GTS which was just lovely but out of my budget. So after getting home I did a search for 997's for sale in white only to find only 997.2's for sale and no 997.1's.

Does anyone know if they made the 997.1 in carrera white and if so roughly how many? I am ideally looking for a C4S so would be interested to find out if these cars ever come up for sale

Thanks

Trev

They did make gen1s in Carrera White Trev, but there are much less of them as the time of gen1 black and silver were the in colours so thats what predoninantly got sold , whereas by the time the gen2 came along White was seeing a return to popularity so more of them were ordered.
its often the GT cars in Gen1 guise that you see in white for sale , but Carreras in White are around but just a bit harder to locate and may mean waiting a while :thumb:

There is no Carrera white, but there is Carrara white, like the marble.

Find the right car and wrap it :thumb:

Every second counts

It's not brown, it's cocoa and to be fair it looks miles better in real life than it does in those pics.
I wouldn't discount it, but I might be biased

It sounds like the dark red interior BMW had in the E46 in that it always looks a lot better in real life than in photos. I have seen it before in a Carrera GT and against the silver it does looks stunning.

Is there much difference in colour between the Cocoa and Brown?

MC

I have Carrara White with Cocoa..

Tbh I'm not sure what the brown you refer to looks like. Cocoa is a deep chocolate colour which at first glance can appear black in average British daylight. It's s a deep and rich colour. Carrera GT and 911R both sported it as the marketing colour.
The only mod I would make to my interior is to swap the Gen 1 MF steering wheel to a 991 MF wheel. I'm not sure what colour wheel is choose, either black or go with cocoa.
When I've popped into various dealers, I've been offered some solid money for it due to the GT Silver/Cocoa/manual combo.

Correct.

Can't remember seeing many (any?) 997.1's in Carrara white, but there seemed no shortage in 997.2. The GTS I had was in Carrara with alcantara.

I've seen only a couple from memory, but seem to think they were north American cars but can't be sure. If there are any I'd imagine they're be 2007/08 cars

Trev , I dont know your budget but heres a very early gen2 4S PDK thats only a few K more than a 2007/8 gen1 4S would be.

Saw that one, looks nice but mileage a little high and brown interior :(.

Trev, the accepted mileage for a 911 is much lower than most cars that accept 12k as ave 911s seem to be 7k ave accepted mileage that cars a 2008 so 10yrs old so 70k would be accepted as ave this only has 75k so in 911 terms its ave mileage not high mileage
you have to go and look at white over cocoa it really is a lovely combo and beats white over black anyday Imo . The cars a gen2 with PDK which is newer tech than the gen1. I genuinly wouldnt discount it :thumb: :thumb:
