Lovely looking car. Laughing

The rear end stance of a 4S always does it for me. Embarassed

Health to enjoy. Very Happy

bonk I knew that as I saw the advert a few weeks ago.

If it wasn't for that interior I would have been seriously tempted to view it.

Red exterior AND red interior kills it what It's just missing spinners on the wheels Grin

I'd do it for 50 bags and then wrap it black or silver Embarassed

There's a lot of people in the same position as you so strike quickly if/when you see one that comes close to what you're looking for at the price you want to pay.

I've followed the market from the off on the 991 - and particularly the C4S - and it seems that not only did they have a high base price but a lot of people spec'd them up so the new price was relatively higher than any previous generation. UK build slot allocations seemed to be tighter than ever before too. Both of these reasons have meant that residuals have been really good.

The situation has been exacerbated by the fact that values of 996s and 997s have risen over the last couple of years with Gen2 997s becoming particularly desirable.

It's got to a stage where current asking prices for 997.2 C4S are where many people expected the 991.1C4S would be by now.

Good Luck with your search. Thumb

Long may this continue Grin

I’m another who has watched 991 pricing and been impressed, got me wondering about the non-S. With the right spec (e.g. PDK/PASM/Sport Chrono) it seems to be great prospect, cheaper to run but with performance close to a 997.2 S (newer PDK?), owners often talk about them being good fun as they can be worked harder at sane speeds on the road.

Could be wrong on this but used price/depreciation differential between an S and non-S doesn’t look like a disaster for the non-s in that they seem to cost something like 15% less when new and still cost around that much less used.

Even if this is true, I can imagine a non-S might take longer to sell, especially those without some of the spec the S, but maybe stubbornly high prices put what is still a great 911 in a pretty good light with depreciation not really that different either Dont know

Here's my experience of 991.1 C4S trade-in values ....

In February 2016 (when my car was 22 months old), I was offered £75K trade-in against a GT3 (which I didn't go ahead with).

In August 2018 (when my car was 51 months old), I have been offered £70.5K trade-in against a GT3. That is £4.5K depreciation over 29 months, just over £155 per month. Very low indeed.

In your position DRZ there’s a case to be made that may not need the special man-maths spreadsheet, your C4S has had a good run holding its value, autumn/winter is coming, GT3 prices are easing, quite a bit of choice 👍

Done the deal and pick up a March 2018 GT3 tomorrow.

Great trade-in on the C4S and a super deal on the GT3. Still had to use the man-maths calculator, but all the numbers appear to work out. Grin
