So i am driving along a narrowish road, on my way to the indy specialist to have a couple of bump stops fitted, when i see coming towards me a tipper truck, barrelling along and i quickly realise that there was not enough road width to allow us both to pass. So i stopped. And matey in the truck barrels through, and cuffs me in the process. Scraped bumper, wing and wheel. Thanks pal. A small issue in the big scheme of things but bleedin g irritating. £350 at discounted mates rates and i do hope to get that back off the ***** in the truck!!!
Cheers

I got lucky this arvo. Walking with a mate to the pub, and was on the footpath. Bloody minivan thin clipped my jeans, but not my leg. I dont sesr flares btw and my jeans are somewhat slimish fitting.I don't understand how they did as they didn't mount the footpath but I felt and heard the clip of the car. The mirror went under my armpit as was pointing at something.
I hope you get it sorted to your satisfaction quickly.

You not got cash up front?

Cash up front! Haha! No Alex the driver was just a dimwit employee of some second rate drain company. Rusty old truck and the driver was arguing the toss as he climbed out of his truck. I have tasked my Insurance broker with recovery of my loss. I will let you know what happens. I suspect not much!

If you were stationary then I really don't understand what he expects to debate?

Hope this gets resolved without major inconvenience... Annoying as it's likely your premium will go up, but the silver lining is at least you'll have nice perfect paintwork for a while!

Don't shoot me but I run a white van company :D
When this sort of thing happens we are all over it to get it sorted outside of the Insurance company's, anything under £1500 we sort. I've even given up my daily for a few days while a victim car off the road.

Insurance repair centres just cane it your £350 would have ended up being £1800 would take 3 weeks so 3 weeks hire car at ridiculous rates, then your Insurance goes up.

I'd contact the transport manager of the drain firm see if he will sort it.

Good luck mate.

a scaffold lorry took the wing mirror off of our Honda jazz, he tried to squeeze through a ludicrous gap, he got out very apologetic, said just ring the owner, we did, the owner said it was the third time this driver had done similar, decent bloke, he said get the quote emailed over, and i will transfer money right away, we did, he did, £500, for a wing mirror, i felt sorry for the owner.
