However I'm hanging out for a 993 for c25 bags to keep it company if anyone knows of one Thumb

£25k will be accepted as a deposit from such a distinguished Porsche chap as yourself Zingari, but you will need Jonttt's rose tinted specs to complete the deal, your Indy can vouch for the car Very Happy

Another great turn out considering the appalling weather. Thanks to those who travelled. Great to put some new faces to names. Genuinely a great bunch of people from all backgrounds.
So after a spot of lunch Alex, Szymon and I left. Not a minute out of the car park was greeted with a 4wd too far on my side crossing a small bridge and as a result I clipped the bridge. I pulled over to have a look at what I thought was going to be quarter panel damage. Thankfully it was just a nasty kerbing to the wheel and no tyre damage. I'm too annoyed to take a closer look but looks like a call to Excel Wheels and need to get the geo checked by OPC taking along my settings from CG.
A massively annoying end to a great day. Thanks to all those that came. Hopefully next month's will be on a day with sunshine so we can have a good nosey around each other's cars.

It's as well you're not keen on those turbo wheels Frank, an excuse to change the look of the motor? Very Happy

Frank it was so quick I didn't even realize you have touched kerb, but from behind was looking scary when rear of your car jump over around 15 inches Surprised
I'm sorry I didn't pull over, I was sure you turn to that way.

Hope there is nothing wrong with car.

My Neighbour provides the magnesium to BBS for the wheels they make for Porsche. I think I might be having a conversation with him tomorrow Very Happy

So long as he doesn't do the 'twist n press' manoeuvre with the rose wood handled black one he'll be fine.

I've been lucky with just a badly curbed rim. No tyre damage at all, amd the car still tracks straight. When I drove back to get the umbrellas for Alex, I think I got away with it today as it could have been much worse.

Don't often get the time to do this sort of thing but, given the weather preventing other activities, it was a very enjoyable way to idle away a few hours on a Saturday. Great to put faces, cars and real names to usernames!

A couple more shots for the family album.

Thanks for organising Frank. Sorry to hear of your mishap on the way home. Hope it 'polishes out'.

After my little kiss with the kerb on the bridge it's appatent after a trip into MCR tonight that I require a wheel alignment as it now drives like a £200 banger rather than a 911.
So annoyed!

Jon
I think Zingers suggested a good date as being the 5th May. It's the bank holiday weekend with a car show at Capesthorne on the Monday. Hopefully he'll be in his new wheels by then and we can see it there. Perhaps the new owner of the Silver Surfer can make a special trip up for this as a last hurrah for it.
I'll put something up shortly. Let's hope the weather is fine so you can take "Fritzl's Daughter", I mean the 993 out for a spin. Grin

The whole thing has been a nightmare as I've just returned from having a new front tyre and a wheel alignment done from my spec sheet from CG. Everything is back to normal bar the wheel refurb which I'll address in the future.
