Finally found myself a 1968 Step front after a long search!
Deposit placed.
Carbs (remember them) need fettling but other wise it's very tidy and well put together.
2 litre Nord fitted on twin 40s. :thumb:

:bow: stunning

cheers guys, hoping to get it delivered in a fortnight once the weather is better.
its been done very nicely, stainless /alloy bolts throughout, brand new fuel lines, brake lines, master cylinder etc. was probably restored 3 or 4 years ago i guess.
no ac, no power steering, no abs, fixed seatbelts, worlds weakest heater blower lol. cool!

Gorgeous Chris, I think this is the car I was looking at a few days ago before SWMBO told me that it would cost me an additional divorce !

If I sold the 93 this would be my choice as a replacement .

Have fun :thumbs:

i know where there's another equally as good if not better @ £45k (not currently advertised) if anyone wants one, it is however running a 1600cc lump with around 120bhp, i was going to buy that one and build up a bigger spec 2 litre engine as a project then this one came up.

Absolutely stunning! I have so much love for the 105 Alfa's especially the Step nose and GTAs. I own a '69 1750GTV series 1 however, its been garaged for over 30 years - in need of a full restoration and engine rebuild. My pet project once I have saved enough cash will to get it like this;

Congrats on the Alfa, will look forward to seeing more of it :thumbs:

that is similar to my inspiration, i was going to build one myself, but the body restoration / costs are a mare. i haven't got the patience for bodywork either. mechanicals are fine, i'm going to tinker with this one, it might end up higher power if needed, but its a great base to work from hopefully.
I've already got a list of jobs as long as your arm to get it how i want it, and correct a few minor niggles. I've missed tinkering tbh, the R8 is fantastic but you cant really do much yourself to improve /alter it.

This was also a big inspiration to remind me to get one sorted lol

Awesome and congrats. :thumb:

An Alfaholics GTA & WS5001 Longhood 911 are my dream garage pair. Looking forward to your updates and impression of the car.
