Hi Gent

I am considering changing the wheels on my 997 turbo.
its a gen 1 with gen 1 wheels, I am thinking of center lock black spyder wheels with silver lip, it's going to be costly as center lock conversation.
or
Gen 2 turbo wheels
the same wheels as Ade
997 Gen 1 gt3 wheels.

Any input welcome.

OK, my thoughts..........If it were me I would probably not do the CL conversion, I have them on mine and do like them, but not worth the hassle/ cost to retrofit IMO.

If going with the CL Spyder alloys I personally prefer them just black without the silver stripe. The CL Spyder wheels however sit too far into the arches for my liking, especially on the rear and especially if lowered. I have the GT2RS and GT3RS wheels on mine which fill the arches better.

Gen 2 turbo wheels - Look great in black like on Boba's (or a dark graphite would look good). If left standard feels like you are trying to make it look like a Gen 2.

the same wheels as Ade - These or other HREs would get my vote :thumb:
997 Gen 1 gt3 wheels - look good but I would prefer HREs.

Hope this helps

I have 997 Gen 1 GT2 wheels on mine, please note the Gen 1 GT3 wheels do not fit on a wide bodied car.

I'd be tempted to go your own way and get something cool from the aftermarket, HREs, OZs, there are loads out there. Have a look at the wheels threads on Rennlist for inspiration. You can order all sorts of fitments, colours, sizes...

My favorite as well but those are CLs, standard GT3 Gen 2 wheels, not the same as the bottom ones from the 991.

I know, I know

I would stick with the standard wheels, I like them so much I have 2 sets!

Just drop the suspension 25mm and fit some spacers, they look perfect.

RJW is that a standard front lip you have painted or an aero ? need to get mine painted looks much better.

Ive been drooling over these babies
