I'm kicking about the idea of getting a Porsche and in terms of value performance nothing is coming close to a 997.

A decent gen 1 can be had for mid £20s

I know of a 57 plate C2S (80k miles) that could be had for a bit less than £25k.

I've only ever had a 2005 and 2006 997s .....just wondering if there was any changes or the laster cars.

Also are the later gen 1s just as prone to the many engine issues.

cheers

As Terry says only real change was to a better IMS bearing so that issue is no longer a worry.

No other changes until the gen2 :thumb:
